Peking Palace/ Shogun here in Fort Smith Arkansas-- List complaints here!

Hit the comments button and lets complain about restaurants in Fort Smith. I'm sure we all have lots of horror stories. I'll start...

2 weeks ago I took my wife to the Shogun/Peeking Palace here in Fort Smith. The chef was a little clumsy and considering his job being clumsy isn't a desirable trait. I'm not really there for the entertainment, I just wanted some good food. At our table we had several people but my wife was the only person who ordered chicken. My steak was great, her chicken was dry and just didn't taste very good. I politely told the waitress and she fetched the manager, who came out with a fork and took a bite of my wife's chicken and said "it tastes fine to me" in a very snotty voice. Me and my wife were shocked and didn't even know what to say. We've eaten there many times and the chicken was always great, it was clearly inferior. I wasn't even wanting a discount or anything I just wanted to leave feedback so the could improve the product since we were full already. I was shocked silent by him acting that way however so I complained about his actions and the food when I went to pay the check. He then started yelling at me and holding up receipts saying "look how many people order chicken, you only one to complain"

I think thats the last time I'll be eating there for a while. My wife called the health department and they said they'd send out some inspectors since he ate off her plate. I think thats kind of funny.

Anyway leave your restaurant stories here in the comment section, I look forward to reading them soon.

At the Risk of Seeming Politically Incorrect...

I've experienced the same attitude in other Chinese restaurants, and not just in Fort Smith.  Must be something in the fwied wice.

I'm starting to show up on google for Peking Palace / Shogun

Not long from today when people search for Peking Palace or Shogun in Fort Smith, they will find my complaint. Why, because my personal site is designed better than anything the peking palace has put together on their own.

Shayne McKinney

they are horrible!!

i was so happy when i found this page. I had a aweful experience there in jan. 2008. For every birthday or special occasion we go to shogun. My husband and I also ordered susi to go from there every friday night. We took about 10 people there for my birthday. Just for mine and my husbands it was over 100 dollars=which we planned for. When we got the bill there was a whole other order of a steak meal on it. We told the waitress who got the chef who got the manager who then told us, "well, that was what we made so you have to pay for it. There was a whole table of people there saying what we had and what we ordered. They called us liars and told us they would call the police it we didnt pay for that 20 dollars they had added to the bill. It was so humiliating for them to treat us like that, especially in front of all my friends. We told them how offended we were and told them how much we visited their establishment, the manager just rolled his eyes. I was shocked. I have never in my life been treated so poorly at a restaurant. Every person at my table vowed to never go back, and we spend lots of time at the place we work telling people our experience.

I've eaten at Shogun many,

I've eaten at Shogun many, many times. I've never, once, been treated poorly, had bad service or had a distasting meal. The food is great, the service fantastic and I'm warmly welcomed each time I enter. Sorry for your poor experiences, but I've been there, at least once a week for the past 3 yrs and never had a problem. Maybe it's you.

I used to love it

I used to frequent it as well. I enjoy the food. I just can't patronize a business that would insult my wife. It is capitalism at work that if they continue to serve good food for most people as they did for me and you then they will do just fine. I don't expect my stand to put them out of business or to even be noticed. It could have been a bad day for the manager I still can't bare to patronize the place.

"It could have been a bad day

"It could have been a bad day for the manager....." Yet, you still felt it necessary to post a blog about it? As well as encouraging others to post their experiences? I think your priorities might be all outta whack. You can brush it off and go on about your business, like most people. Why the need to vocalize your hate and negativity on others? So you and your wife were offended. I can understand anyone being upset by that... what I don't understand is why you put it on the internet looking for vindication.

A purpose of this site

A purpose of this site is talk about informative or interesting things. Why does a news company talk about the number of dead people in Iraq yet completely ignore my friend who's job was to provide medical services to Iraqi citizens. He helped save many lives of citizens with sickness or wounds that would go untreated otherwise. The reason is simple it gets people to pay attention to what they are saying. You have taken the time to comment twice (at least I think it is the same person) so this post has obviously gotten your attention. If the post said something like "I went to a restaurant yesterday and had a bad experience, my wife was offended but I don't want to give you any details because it could have just been a bad day" That wouldn't be nearly as interesting and you certainly wouldn't have left the last to comments. Not only that but I was very offended and wanted to see if anyone else had had a similar experience at the Peking Palace. If I received a large number of bad stories then it would indicate a problem, If not then the obvious answer to people reading this is that it was probably an isolated incident. Right now it looks like that is the case.

I hate eating at restaurants

I hate eating at restaurants anyway, so I have no complaints here ;)

Blue Viagra Restaurants!

Have you ever heard of Viagra restaurants? It's the place where you can order Viagra with a special discount that no other online pharmacy offers. It's nice to see how all people listen to official warnings about Viagra and avoid fake drugs. If people knew how to buy legal, real Viagra online the world would be healthier and your doctor can be so excited to give you free medical advice. Athletes also use Viagra to enhance their blood circulation.
